I started Third River Insights because I believe individuals, teams, and organizations succeed as people employ their strengths to serve others in passionate pursuit of a higher purpose or greater goal. I work with a network of colleagues locally (in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas), nationally, and internationally. Our services will provide you with deep insight about your strengths – individually and working with others on a team – and support you with coaching and development to maximize your strengths and achieve success.

How Strength-Based Coaching is Different – One Client’s View |

A long-term coaching client, now a VP in a major aerospace firm, says this about our work together: “I’ve been through a week-long business simulation with the Center for Creative Leadership and a competency-based assessment center with Personnel Decisions International and learned a lot that was helpful. But when I worked with Ben, using the System for Identifying Motivated Abilities, he showed me how I’m 'wired' for performance. The SIMA process was both affirming of who I am and instructive on how I could become better – more effective and more satisfied – doing the things I love to do. This insight has helped me better leverage my strengths and avoid my weaknesses, and has taken my performance and fulfillment on the job to a much higher level.” |

SIMA Coaching Training Completed |
This summer I had the privilege of attending an excellent training program in Oxford, UK, to enhance my coaching abilities using the System for Identifying Motivated Abilities (SIMA®). The course, "Who Do You Think You Are?", was conducted July 7-9, 2008, and is based on twenty years of work by SIMA's partners in the UK, Dr. Nick Isbister and Judy Elliman. Strength Based Coaching WINS! |
I had great enhusiasm about attending Advanced Coaching Training in Oxford, UK, in order to better utilize the System for Identifying Motivated Abilities (SIMA®) as a coaching approach that builds on the inherent strengths of the individual. That enthusiasm has translated into a high level of interest from a variety of client organizations and great results in several ongoing coaching enagements. I'm currently working with clients in services, manufacturing, and engineering organizations, and they are thoroughly enjoying this positive approach and seeing great impact on their effectiveness. The latest news is exciting! Third River Insights just entered into an engagement with a modular construction company based in Dallas, starting with individual coaching and team building for three senior managers at one of their manufacturing facilities. New leadership has made a commitment to leadership development, and their perspective aligns well with our strength-based approach. Success in this initial engagement will lead to similar work with leaders in other facilities and at corporate headquarters. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with this innovative, forward-thinking company and its leaders! Consider how SIMA could help leaders in your organization be more effective was they better understand and leverage their strengths. SIMA strength-based coaching is particularly helpful with individuals who are transitioning to a new organizational role/level, dealing with key business challenges, or wanting to take their performance to the next level.
